All estimates provided by Lathrop Deck and Fence are based on information available at the time of the estimate and are subject to change. An estimate is not a binding contract. A written, signed contract is required before any work begins.
Pricing may change if the scope of work changes after the estimate is issued, if site conditions differ from what was observed during the estimate visit, if materials costs change due to market conditions, or if unforeseen work is required (such as structural repairs discovered during the project).
We will notify you of any pricing changes before proceeding with work that falls outside the original scope. You are not obligated to approve changes, and we will discuss alternatives if that occurs.
Project start dates are estimated and may be affected by weather, permit timelines, material availability, or other factors outside our control. We will communicate any delays as soon as we are aware of them.
If you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed project, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made after a deposit has been paid and materials have been ordered may result in forfeiture of all or part of the deposit to cover costs already incurred.
We reserve the right to reschedule work due to unsafe weather conditions, job site hazards, or other factors that may affect the safety of our crew or the quality of the work.
Payment terms are specified in the written contract for each project. In general:
Late payments may be subject to a late fee as specified in the project contract. We reserve the right to suspend or stop work on a project where payment obligations are not met.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of contract signing. We do not accept payment in advance through unsecured methods.
Where required by local ordinance, Lathrop Deck and Fence will obtain the necessary building permits before work begins. Permit fees are either included in the project estimate or itemized separately. The homeowner is responsible for ensuring that proposed work complies with any applicable homeowners association (HOA) rules and restrictions. We will assist with HOA submissions where possible, but HOA approval is the homeowner's responsibility.
Lathrop Deck and Fence warrants that work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. Any specific warranty terms, including duration and coverage, will be stated in the written project contract.
Material warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and are separate from any labor warranty we provide. We will pass through manufacturer warranties to you to the extent they are transferable.
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, acts of nature, or normal wear and tear. The website and any information provided on it are offered on an "as is" basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
